With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Victoria Ross of Thunder Bay, Ontario, who left us on April 1, 2025.
Victoria was a familiar and friendly face at Mongo’s Grill located at Lakehead University, where she worked with warmth and dedication. Known for her kindness, bright smile, and hardworking spirit, she made every guest feel welcome and appreciated. Her presence brought comfort to students, staff, and community members who visited the restaurant not just for food, but also for her gentle and caring nature.
Victoria’s loss is felt deeply by all who knew her. Whether it was a kind word during a busy lunch hour or a quiet gesture of support to a friend, she made a difference in the lives around her. Her memory will live on in the halls of Lakehead University, the community of Thunder Bay, and in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to cross paths with her.
She leaves behind loved ones, friends, colleagues, and many members of the Lakehead University community who will forever remember her for her grace, warmth, and compassion.
A memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date. In the meantime, the community is encouraged to keep Victoria and her family in their thoughts and prayers.
